What is a Public Park? A “public park” is a public playground, public recreation centre or area, and other public areas, created, established, designated, maintained, provided, or set aside by the local authority, for the purposes of public rest, play, recreation, enjoyment, or assembly. The purpose of Public Parks are to protect public lands which have proven to improve water quality, protect groundwater, prevent flooding, improve the quality of the air we breathe, provide vegetative buffers to development, produce habitat for wildlife, and provide a place for children and families to connect with nature and recreate outdoors. Argyll Park is one of many Public Parks in West Dunbartonshire.

Situated North East of Christie Park, large open sports fields and a small wooded area to the West of the park.

Small wooded area towards the back of the park offering a walking path through linking to nearby streets.

A small variation of common wildlife and plant life in the area, due to the area been populated.

Large open fields used daily, mainly grass with a few plants scattered across the fields. though will not stay there.
