There are many important habitats that run along the River Leven and throughout the Vale of Leven.. But did you know that the Vale of Leven has the following
18 Local Nature Conversation Areas
4 Sites of Special Scientific Interest
Dozens of woodlands, moorlands, and places which are important to residents and visitors alike.
These habitats are all part of Vale of Leven’s Industrial Heritage and are part of our stories and lives. The preservation of these environmental and biodiverse habitats can be done through recreational learning including walking it’s accessible paths and giving a little time to take care of these precious places for our families, community, and future generations.
We run regular visits to these places if you are interested in a relaxing stroll or something a little busier, and have a few hours to spare each month, please come along to our organised activities or just take a stroll.
Net Zero Heroes are available to be contacted through the below email or contact form. For Telephone enquires, please call us between the hours of Monday to Friday: 9am to 5pm.
